I decided to conduct some primary research into the publics perception of feminism and gender equality. Sadly, I finish the project with a meagre 16 responses, but from what I've gathered from my loyal Femme or Foe following, it definitely correlates to what I've found in my interviews.
1. Do you feel we live in an equal society in the UK?

46% voted yes, but the majority feeling was that Britain isn't equal yet.
2. Do you think feminism strives for the equality of the sexes?

81% voted yes. However, one respondent noted that whilst they felt feminism strived for equality, it was not always successful at representing that ideology.
3. Do you identify as a feminist?

The majority of respondents said yes (61%) however of the 15% who voted unsure, they commented saying they felt "confused" by the movement and that they "wanted equality, but aren't sure if that means they are feminists".
4. Do you believe that feminism is the best movement for Gender Equality?

An overwhelming 53% of respondents felt that feminism was not the best movement for gender equality, some shared their reasons why as being: "feminism is turning out as if women are better than men"and felt there was no one movement that was best.
5. Do you think that feminism can be doing more for men's rights?

91% of users felt feminism could be doing more for men, with 1 user believing that feminism should be free to focus on women's rights only.
6. Do you think there should be an 'international men's day' as well as an 'international women's day'?

66% of users felt that International Men's Day should exist, and many noted that they had already noticed one being celebrated in 2017. However, 33% felt that the day was unnecessary.
